Faith Videos

Your name is above the lines you need to know by video class next week. Practice saying your lines in front of one of your parents, and get help on how to say it. Be ready to be videoed!!! If you are in one of the classes singing a song, be ready to record next week as well. Practice your parts. We need to have all the footage recorded by next week so that we can edit all the following week. These are our last two weeks of faith being the Vocatio topic.

Watch the video below to learn "Faith Of Our Fathers". Learning this song is not homework, but if you learn it you will get a prize! We will be recording it next week as well with the select few who. The choir that sings in the link I attached, sing some different words, but learn the ones below.

Verse 1
Faith of our fathers, living still,
In spite of dungeon, fire and sword;
O how our hearts beat high with joy
Whene'er we hear thy wondrous voice!

Refrain
Faith of our fathers, holy faith!
We will be true to thee till death.

Verse 2
Faith of our fathers, we will strive
To win all nations unto Thee;
And through the truth that comes from God,
We all shall then be truly free.

Verse 3
Faith of our fathers, we will love
Both friend and foe in all our strife;
And preach Thee, too, as love knows how
By kindly words and virtuous life.

(Kindergarten)

*Marian
Feelings come and feelings go, And feelings are deceiving;
*David James
My warrant is the Word of God-- Nothing else is worth believing.
*Molly
Though all my heart should feel condemned For want of some sweet token,
*Audrey
There is One greater than my heart Whose Word cannot be broken.
*David James
I'll trust in God's unchanging Word Till soul and body sever,
*Marian
For, though all things shall pass away,
*Molly, Marian, David & Audrey
HIS WORD SHALL STAND FOREVER!

*Marian
Faith is attached to a preacher.

*Molly
Reason is the enemy of faith.

(2nd grade)
*Jack
The dog is the most faithful of animals and would be much esteemed were it not so common. Our Lord God has made His greatest gifts the commonest.

*Jim
Faith must trample under foot all reason, sense, and understanding.

*Allison
We need a preacher to help us escape from the lies of reason.

4th Grade boys, Jack, Jim & David

'Faith, Faith'

4th Grade

*Jesse (If you want to get help wording this differently, you can.)
We receive faith in two ways. One, it is the gift of God. The Bible tells us that God has given every man a measure of faith. The other way we get faith is by hearing. Faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the Word.

*Calvin
Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.

*Sam
Through faith we understand that the worlds were framed by the word of God, so that things which are seen were not made of things which do appear.

*Taylor
But without faith it is impossible to please God: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him.

*Jesse
Therefore being justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ:

6th Grade, Luke & Taylor

'Justified By Faith'

*Gloria
All who call on God in true faith, earnestly from the heart, will certainly be heard, and will receive what they have asked and desired.

*Luke
The just shall live by faith.

*Shannon
For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: [it is] the gift of God.

*David O'Brien

For in Jesus Christ neither circumcision availeth any thing, nor uncircumcision; but faith which worketh by love.

(High School)

*Erin
The word is nigh thee, even in thy mouth, and in thy heart: that is, the word of faith, which we preach; That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation. For the scripture saith, Whosoever believeth on him shall not be ashamed.

*Amy
Faith is a living, daring confidence in God's grace, so sure and certain that a man could stake his life on it a thousand times.

*Carolyn
Above all, take the shield of faith, wherewith ye shall be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked. And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God.
